Supporting West Ham is a curse. But then I suppose being a football supporter is in many ways.
West Ham have always been close to something good but poor management and almost laughable incompetence has always seen us stay in the shadows.
But for a club that has won virtually fuck all down the years we truly have a magnificent history and a very rich heritage.
We are a proper club and that's the end of it. And it's that that keeps you coming back for more only to be let down. Vicious circle.

I just found this in the comments section of an article on Patrice Evra in the Guardian. I think this financial guy has it just about right.

NO, we are not the worst club but we do have the worst chairmen in the modern history of football!
I know others are bad but I know of no club with chairmen who persistently and openly make promises to fans (customers) without any intention of honouring them. Despicable bastards and liars!!
